The salary for the role is Ksh 40,000 – 50,000 monthly. Proficiency in HVAC systems, refrigeration installation, and troubleshooting is required. Key Responsibilities Installation of Refrigeration and HVAC Systems Plan and execute the installation of refrigeration units, chillers, air conditioning systems, and associated components in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. Ensure proper sizing, placement, and secure mounting of systems as per technical specifications and manufacturer guidelines. Routine Inspection and Preventive Maintenance Conduct regular inspections of systems to detect early signs of wear, leaks, corrosion, or other potential issues. Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance tasks such as cleaning filters, checking refrigerant levels, lubricating moving parts, and testing system controls to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshooting and Diagnostic Analysis Identify and analyze malfunctions in refrigeration and HVAC systems using specialized tools and diagnostic equipment. Interpret error codes, sensor data, and system performance readings to pinpoint the root cause of failures. Repairs and Component Replacement Replace or repair faulty parts such as compressors, motors, thermostats, fans, solenoids, expansion valves, and electrical wiring. Perform soldering, brazing, or piping work as required to fix leaks or reconnect damaged lines. System Testing and Calibration Test systems after repair or installation to verify performance, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards. Adjust settings and calibrate controls for temperature, airflow, and pressure as per operational requirements.
